Rail


The Cumberland Valley Business Park contains 20 miles of rail, providing access to existing buildings and developable land.

Rail service within the Park is provided by PA & Southern Railway. Two 80-ton locomotives are maintained at the Park to ensure prompt service.

PA & Southern Railway interchanges with CSXT at the southern edge of the Park. Norfolk Southern operates on a former Conrail line from Harrisburg to Hagerstown, MD. A newly constructed runaround track in Shippensburg, PA allows NS to interchange with CSXT for Park customers. Canadian Pacific has a line terminating just north of Harrisburg, PA.

The Park's proximity to these Class 1 carriers, coupled with its two large classification yards, makes it an attractive location for trans-load, temporary storage and other intermodal activities.
